This is a f*cking masterpiece.I have never written a proper review for a story before, but this novel was just so good that I had to let other people know.At the start, I was skeptical of the non-linear style of this novel, but I was pleasantly surprised to find how enjoyable it was. I was hooked from the start, I've been binge-reading it for a few days now, and I've never gotten bored. The writing is phenomenal. The more you read, the more you'll understand what I mean. At the start, and actually throughout the whole novel, some little minor things might not make sense and you'll just simply ignore and gloss over them, but then suddenly after a few chapters they'll come back and you'll be like "Ohh! That was tied to this?!" The foreshadowing is really one of my favorites parts. It's extremely enjoyable. The characters are all fleshed out and extremely interesting, you grow to love them more and more. They are well-written and all unique in their own way. You won't get bored of them. I can't describe them without spoiling, so I'll refrain.I really love our protagonist, Undertaker. The way he tackles the wacky and bizarre Anomalies (the monsters of this world), his mindset, his humor, his perseverance, his wisdom, his failures and successes, even his flaws (cough Three Kingdoms cough). His insanity, and eccentricity, but well, having lived as long as he has and through so many cycles experiencing so many different things, it's understandable. Honestly, he has become one of my all-time favorite characters. I mean, have you ever seen a regressor use a whole cycle to take a break to restore their mental state? Running a supermarket in a post-apocalyptic world alongside extreme communist fairies? Me neither! It's amazing! The way the world progresses, the way everything advances, the way relationships form, the way a certain 'Entity who shall not be named' terrifies me every time it's brought up is all just so good. The mix of a world that hates humans and does everything in its power to kill them and the beautiful moments and interactions before certain death that appear because of it is all just so breathtaking.I cannot praise this novel enough nor do I have the vocabulary for it, It's a must-read. Honestly, I might be sounding a bit too excited. I apologize for that. But it's truly a masterpiece. I haven't enjoyed a novel as much as this in a long time.Again, an absolute must-read. 5/5.
