I don't know how to describe it, but it's like the author gathers all the popular troupe and uses it to make a story completely unlike any other works (positively), well obviously that's how you make a story compelling, but this one is on another level imo.

Sometimes you find a bl with a level of seriousness so high that it lacks any charm, or a bl under 100 chapters with a straightforward plot, with smut and some comedy, y'know like same things different fonts, you read it till the end in some aggregate sites, finish it, satisfied with the ending (or not), put it in some rec list and that's it, you might or might have not forget it completely.

But Turning is a nice balance between those two. There's enough of a serious plot, but there's some lighthearted and wholesome moments too, and the smut is top notch, maybe because it's slowburn that the smut became very satisfying, and even if there's rarely any smut for a long time, the simple act of talking to each other is more than enough to fill my heart, because I already know how deep they love each other, emotionally or physically.

The thing that differentiate Turning the most is the massive plot that stretches to thousands of chapters yet still doesn't deviate from the original goal, consistent and lacks any plot hole either, and the way the author executes it is perfect *chef kiss*, one saga typically consist of 120 chapters in the shortest and more than 350 at the longest, it's like going to an adventure of our own!

Spoiler

of bringing down the hostile duke one by one and replacing it with their children who's friendly to the cavalry (because the Cavalry also helped and support them defeat their fathers), and in turn the dukedom become more loyal or at least neutral to the Emperor faction, which is our MC/ML faction bcs Emperor is ML older brother

There's a mix of characters from diverse background that aren't completely cardboard cutout, in fact all of them have important role of their own, no excessive writing that serves no purpose, and the world building fall on the upper lower scale.

The only downside I can think of... sometimes it can drag a bit? Like there's some mini arc or an interlude before or after a major arc, around 10-40 chapters, sometimes I just wish it'd get over to the main content.

The main characters were also one of the driving force in this story that makes it soo good, the other reviewers already point it out better, so just trust me when I say this couple is the most entertaining to read, in terms that they are mature adults and all of the possible unnecessary love drama doesn't exist so they can proceed to solve the main plot, which is to save the world and prevent everyone from dying.

And I also want to point out, that despite the normality of having s*x between couple in rl, idk why many author treats it like something super special and just write it once in a blue moon, but Turning isn't like that, we get to see their s*x life progress normally like any other couple, they always find the time to do it despite their packed schedule, it start slow (in concern of the MC) but once they're use to it they definitely doesn't shy away from the act of making love (esp in Yuder case), because it felt good to each and the other person, and as a way of showing their feelings, I really appreciate that from the author.

I can not express it fully bcs English is not my first language, but I just love this story and it deserves every stars it can get <3 Please support the author by buying chapters from Ridibook if you can :)

Only read the first 7 chapters and am gripped already. I can't wait to see what happens when the twins realise Aria has left because of Colton's bullying, I think hitting her friend Ariel was the last straw for her. Need coins but this is my new favourite story ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
