This has been one of my favorite novels so far. I really need more chapters... The dynamic between the MC and ML makes me constantly crave for more interactions between the two of them. Despite the MC's cold and closed-off personality, the ML makes up for it by attentively caring for the MC's well-being. Their dynamic is strangely captivating. I also really love the slow-burn romance that's going on, because the chemistry between the two characters really makes me anticipate for further development as the novel progresses. What also keeps me so hooked onto this book is due to the flashbacks you get from the MC's past. Spoiler
In his past life, there were many secrets that led to the MC and the ML's demise and after the MC regresses, he becomes determined to find the mastermind behind it all. However, in the flashbacks, you see the ML struggling with a mysterious illness as well as carrying some sort of huge burden. It makes you wonder what really happened to the ML as well as if he truly knows the reason behind all that has occurred. Because I haven't progressed further into the novel, these are just my speculations.
[collapse] Overall, I feel like this plot is really well-rounded and unique (because I haven't yet read a book with plot similar to this). The romance isn't sickeningly cringy like most novels in the Omegaverse genre, and the conflicts that the characters face are tied to something bigger... It really keeps you hooked 😭😭.
