Atmosphere is more serious and brutal that in average Jinjiang novel, it reminds me of Korean web novels, but not as dark. There is almost no humor.MC is thrown into the world and is mostly reactionary — instead of moving the plot, the plot moves her. There is a huge difference between social classes and obviously she is in the lowest one, where everyone steps on her. She fights back in a manner of "hurting enemy by 800 and oneself by 1000". I'm not sure if she is so relentless because of her character or her genes (in this world genes affect psychology: berserkers are cheeky and aggressive, healers are gentle and so on). Because of her gradually awakening healing powers she gets beaten up during the day while improving her fighting skills and heals up during the night, rinse and repeat. After several chapters her powers are woken up and and her situation improves. She gets enrolled into an elite class with other "awakeners", and gradually gets recognition without too much face-slapping. The school and subsequent university she's in are basically military academies, so most of the time students are training and fighting.Author keeps it very down to earth — there are no breathtaking beauties, all mighty CEOs, mysterious schoolboys from underground organizations, etc. I am very prone to feeling cringe, but not here. There is absolute zero romance, no idealistic teenagers, no emotional confrontations (only physical ones). Actually I don't remember characters talking about their feeling or getting at all emotional.World building is average, basically there are 11 human cities, with are about 10 million people each, in the "Federation", that are surrounded by monster territory. How large is this "Federation" is unknown, other countries are not mentioned, maybe it covers the entire world, but everyone speaks the same language. The "system" plays very minor part, and is mostly used to explain MCs specialness and to illustrate how her skills upgrades numerically. It does not talk, has no shop, does not provide weird quests. Basically just a character panel, but number upgrades are not mentioned in every other sentence like in some Japanese web novels. After MC gets very powerful author introduces the main villain, which somewhat collides with the general down-to-earth feel of the novel with no almighty individuals. Maybe author couldn't think of anything else to move the plot forward, because as I mentioned above the MC, while is not passive per se, is reactionary. I don't think author has the whole plan and just writes by plot arcs.So. As a web novel I think it's somewhat solid, but without potential of being a book. Edit: I forgot to mention that all characters (including MC) are genderless. You can swap pronouns any way around and won't feel any difference. I'm not sure if it's deliberate or because of author's lack of skill. I feel like everyone is a dude.
