The description is a bit misleading, it makes it sound more interesting and funnier than it actually is.Characterisation is sufficient, MC is shameless and clever, ML OP, the classical personalities for a comedy system novel.That's really the most important point, it's pure comedy and if you don't find it funny, it has very little else to offer.Basic story, basic "drama", basic side-characters, everything is just good enough to waste your time on it and have a laugh – if it's your kind of humour.For me, only very few moments really hit, the comedy has very little variety and most of it is simple silliness, only a small number of jokes are clever or unique.It's easy to get comedy-fatigue, maybe taking breaks after a couple of chapters would be best.Overall, I agree with the Chinese readers, you are either into it for the humour or you should probably read something else.I'd recommend it to comedy-fans, it's definitely worth a shot for those who aren't too concerned about how intricate the story and characters are.
