This novel gets dark at times and the MC actually struggles and suffers setbacks. Almost everyone has a sad backstory so it feels like pity bait sometimes. It is still enjoyable though. Worldbuilding and power system is pretty generic but at least the flow of the story is handled decently than most Korean novels. The character interactions are fun too and although there are misunderstandings they tend to get resolved and not get dragged out, well, except for the one between Scarlet and Si-woo but it's cute so I'll let it pass. Don't let the gender bender tag deter you from reading, though the MC hasn't acknowledged himself as a woman and still likes girls he doesn't really whine much and is adapting quite well. If it weren't for the occasional "masculinity" mention I would have forgotten the gender bender aspect.
