This story is really a masterpiece and I highly recommend it. It did take a little while for me to feel invested- but that’s just because it’s got so much going on that the beginning is a bit overwhelming.I can’t think of a main character who has ever been this likable. I am rooting for him 100%. I just want him to have a good life- he deserves it. He is incredibly smart, treats everyone with respect, gives to others freely while asking for nothing in return. He is an amazing strategist, good at combat and the kind of person everyone would want to be friends with. At the same time he has a sad past and has very low self worth from it. He meets a lot of wonderful people who are trying to get him to understand that he deserves their friendship and love.Translation and tips- start with Library Key until it runs out then switch to wuxia. Both are good but I hear the first 170 of wuxia are a different translator that was bad. If you can’t remember the name of 100 different characters I recommend making a list. That’s what I did. It takes a while to get used to so many characters. This is part of why I say this is a masterpiece. Few authors can write a school and have dozens of very important characters and make them all unique and important. This author pulls it off. This is a story of a hero trying to save the world from an unknown villain. There is no romance (my usual genre) but it doesn’t need it. The MC loves so many people in a very wholesome clean way. There is action, plotting, injuries (usually MC) and high stakes. MC has friends and allies who try to help but the stakes are very high. MC is a bit of an unreliable narrator (never reflects on his fear or pain probably the low self esteem- really hates cringy words though) but the author is very reliable. The author drops threads and hints and will pick them up 800 chapters later. Even though this story has some mystery in it I think I will re read it in all its glory someday- it’s really that good.
