the translation isn't that good, but I appreciate them not using the direct translate Chinese name, like so many half ass fanfics do. The problem is that the MCs ability isn't well explained Spoiler
at first he says it works when he's being taught, and the teacher wants to teach him, then suddenly he can do it whenever, at ch12, when he stole the guys technique by just being near him, even though it hasn't worked in the earlier chapters
