First of all, I f*cking love this novel. It's my favorite novel on noblemtl. I don't know why this novel is only rated a 4.2. Novels like this should be at least a 4.4.This is an infinite regression story, which is basically a story where the MC can regress infinitely as long as the conditions are completed. Something like sss su*cide hunter, the knight who regresses eternally, and many others. So, the story follows our protagonist, Junho. He is just a college kid and then he, along with 50 other people, got transferred into a tower. He gets a regression skill but the thing is that he regresses at the slightest of damages done to him. Which you can imagine, leads to some very annoying situations, and if they don't beat all the floors, humanity is done for. That's the basic premise. Seems very cliche right? Well, that's because it is. But, as cliche as it is, the story is very well thought out. If I have no school, I'd have finish all three hundo chaps in like three days. For me, the beauty of this novel isn't the MC getting stronger, it isn't the romance (though I love the romance a lot), it is the the character growth of the MC. This is the type of story that gets better as it goes on. It's as if the author sudden realized what direction he wanted to go. Don't let the first few arcs put you off.As the story progresses, our MC grows a lot, he learns a lot, he goes through a lot. His mentality changes and his changes felt very realistic. He thought that he had to save everyone because he is capable of doing. As long as he can regress, he can save everyone. Even if it takes hundreds of regressions, he can do it. He felt guilty if he didn't. He knew that if he tries his absolute hardest, he can save them. But after all his experiences, this mindset changes. Especially with that old man on floor 20 or something, I fcking loved that part. And ofc, the MC is strong. How couldn't he be? He's a f*cking regressor but he still isn't strong than fMC, Choi Jiwon. Speaking of her, she is such a good character and even better as a girlfriend. She can tell whenever the MC is going thru something and helps him out with it. She is just perfect. She's strong, caring, dependent, and everything. Paraphrasing the MC, without her, he would not be able to handle the burden of regressing.imma rapid fire the pros and cons real fast.Pros:
- Good character development
- Good fmc
- fMC is actually very strong and very helpful unlike a lot of other novels.
- The MC and fMC work together on a lot of the floors, more couple moments for us.
- Couple moments.
- Good pacing
- good world development, I think? The term is just pretty loosely and is very subjective soooo ye.
- You can easily know the mc's mental throughout the novel, some might not like it but I do, so it's a pro.
- Despite the overall good pacing, some floors take wayyyyy too long.
- Some plot holes that I don't feel like listing.
- Spoiler so beware, like it's way later on (chapter 300 roughly) Spoiler
It seems like the U.S. President and government is going to find out that our boi, Junho, has a regression trait. Since they have a special equipment. And I really don't like that. I feel like somethin bad is going to happen and they're going to threaten Jiwon somehow. Also MC is showing signs that he's on the verge of breaking. He already freak out a lot when he knew someone knows of his regression. If something happens to Jiwon or something about his regression, somethin crazy finna happened.
