The novel is really likeable. The OPness of MC doesn't overshadow his character, that is, there's still room for development. He "acquaints" and "moulds"/"integrates" himself in the new era slowly. I think the best part is that the MC isn't perfect. He has his flaws, he learns from his mistakes and does his best to rectify them. The ML is not cold-hearted and grim, unlike the usual trope. I felt like the ML is open-minded in the sense he doesn't build his own bias and tries to understand the MC. He teaches the MC the 'basic' knowledge that he lacks and MC being quick-witted catches onto it real fast (which can be considered his OP aspect). Also, unlike the usual transmigration trope where the MC usually has some sort of "golden finger" in form of memories and stuff and they look at the world with their tinted glasses of past, the MC here despite having that upstart he doesn't really look at others with bias, that's also one of the aspects which is really likeable.
