I had a blast... with the first 200ish chapters. I loved our protagonisst, the rapid pace of the stories allowed it to consistently hit every single beat; not a single moment I disliked... That is a bit of a lie. Rarely do I hate an MC so much that it ruins the entire story, but goddamnit this book managed. For the first 200 odd chapters we follow a series of fantastic heros being badasses, all the while the peanut gallery from the future is there (Not the best sections, but they are short). Diverse well realized hero’s... then we get to the dumbass MC. A Greedy, lustful, Narcissistic coward. He shares more in common with the comic relief antagonist (the original protag) that we are supposed to laugh at and hate then any of ‘his’ past lives. He clearly gives zero shits about these women beyond their s*x appeal and usefulness; then realizing that one of them is a traitor, decides to do the s*x with all of them. Worst part is that his power really rewrites the past, so all those amazing hero’s actually did all that shit... only for this stolen valor moron to take all the credit.Spoiler
The author tries to hand wave it with a ‘It was me being the hero all along thing’ but that’s not how his power works. The MC wrote a self insert OC who was super cool and heroic, but that wasn’t actually ‘him’. It was a phantom, the same type the heroines use, and now dipsh*t overrides them. The entire second act only unfolds as it did, because of his OC. He changed his own past, so he know needs to ‘remember it’ and can’t use the rewrite feature.
[collapse]Read until chapter 210ish then drop it, this is a fantastic series until then
