I'd give 3.9/5 for this one.A normal love story where we get to see a headstrong merchant woman who is very stubborn with rebellious ideas (compared to the women in that time period) and ML with a very noble background who is the epitome of arrogance with enough capital backing him up to be so (he is very different from our normal MLs who have tolerant and forward looking ideas, though he eventually grows to it). And if I were to quote an above reviewer, yes - both of them are NOT good people. We get to see how their story unfolds as the FL decides to have a son and abandon the father, ended up choosing a very wrong opponent to seduce, but still was successful with her plans. There were a few plot holes, which are ignorable considering the fast pace of the story.We get to see the love stories of each of the Ruan siblings' too.And now about the pitiful villainous cannon fodder - I can't help but say she was a bit s*upid after all; it would have been no loss if she were to withdraw after she got title of princess. Oh well, maybe plot armor wouldn't have let her go even so.I'd like to conclude my short review by pointing out that this is a story that deserves a read.
