As an mxtx fan with high standards when it comes to bl novels and BL gongs, I highly recommend this novel.

Ok fine, here are my thoughts:

The short synopsis actually got me scared, thinking that this was gonna be a depressing ride with a scum gong... BUT I WAS IMMENSELY WRONG.

Although there was indeed angst and tragedy... It was the kind of tragic and angsty story similar to mxtx's works. You know, the kind that would make you cry like in tgcf, will crush your heart, and make your eyes hurt, but would still make you satisfied and think that everything was so beautiful and meticulously written. Don't be scared of the description, it's bearable and there are more fluff than angst to the point that your tooth would ache from the sweetness.

PLOT

The plot is AMAZING, METICULOUS, CUTE, ENGAGING, ANGSTY, PLOT CENTERED, ENTERTAINING, And did I mention CUTE? I remember reading a review saying this is like arslan senki but gay? Hmm, I somehow agree.

MC

A ball of sunshine and cuteness. He underestimate his charm, courage, charisma and worth so much that it's heart-wrenching and adorably fascinating at the same time. He cares for the people, he's brave, SMART, compassionate and has a self-sacrificing tendency. I actually wondered how such a person who suffered painful deaths over and over again could still have a kind heart and not blacken. He's truly the son of destiny huh. Also, don't think he's weak just because many wants to protect him, he's absolutely strong in his own way and when you underestimate him, 'your head would be sent flying in the air without even having time to react'. I love him. His brother, the king, loves him; the lion cub loves him; his enemy loves him; his mentor loves him; the knights loves him and his people loves him. AAHHH IM SQUUEELLINGGG LIKE A PIG BECAUSE OF HIS INNOCENT AND WHOLESOME HAREM! Everyone in the kingdom loves him. And he deserves it, he deserves the world.

Head over heels obsessed and in love with the MC. MC is the only good thing in his miserable life, his only light that saved him from the darkness of his heart. Tbh, I hate the ML, I still hate him even when I know what happened to him. But well... It's still fine whatever.
