A super fun story to read! I really enjoyed this light-hearted story about an animated corpse saving lives and her heater boyfriend/husband.Our FL An Bu is a corpse. Actually she’s a human with a special power of seeing people’s life & death and then she died. In order to have vitality like an alive person, she needs to save people to get some sort of destiny vitality points (I read MTL so the translation may be wonky.) Basically the “vitality” points that she gets from saving people from death must be higher than her “death” points so that she can be like an alive human that can taste, see colour, feel. She’s striving hard for that! Thus, a lot of the plotlines in the novel is how she saves people. It is very fun. The FL herself is an optimistic person, I feel she has to have that POV in order to live happily as a corpse. She’s brave and adventurous. She can do a lot of things because she’s lived a long time and also she needs to constantly stimulate her brain in order to be alive. So she does seem Mary-Sue but I think it really works for her. She’s just such a fun character.ML on the other hand has an abundance of “yang” energy that makes him run hot. (A reviewer mentions that the author forgets about this midway through the novel but that’s not true. Its still mentioned later on but briefly.) Due to him feeling utter discomfort and causing a lot of problems to people around him, ML often has a stoic demeanour and doesn’t hang around other people so much. This changes when he meets FL has her cold yin energy makes him feel comfortable and better! They are a match made in Heaven. ML is such a doting lover. He cares so much for FL and often protects her behind the scenes and supports her in all she does. He is really so supportive. I love his character a lot. He sometimes act tsundere.Also the two of them seem to like bathroom play a lot lololol.Basically the story is of both of them coexisting, saving lives, travelling together.The last storyline is so good it made me cry. I love how author ended the story.But yeah one of the cons of the story is how side characters are introduced and forgotten fast. Its like, they pop up, they’re saved by An Bu, and then bye! Minimal face slapping that ends super fast too. Basically no resolution for some issues faced by side characters as author focuses on FL and ML.Still a great read though. Especially the romance! Highly recommended.
