I like Iggy's personality. He's way more entertaining now that we get his thoughts compared to when he was just a gum-chewing dog with an attitude at his introduction.

Wow, did Iggy seriously lose a leg in this fight?!  That’s a big injury.  And he gnawed it off to escape!  Talk about a strong dog.  I was expecting Iggy to return to the gang after he won, and to get a line like: “Iggy where have you been?!” And as much as Stardust Crusaders does try to avoid hurting main characters to strengthen others by making them damsels in distress, if Jotaro and co save Iggy, that would increase his bond with them.  He could even be inspired to lead them to Dio’s mansion after that.  But with how Araki keeps his characters reliable and strong, maybe he’ll simply need some help but save himself.   Or maybe he’ll just handle it himself, who knows?

I did find it interesting that Iggy has gotten far cuter in his design as the series has gone on.  He is more cute and human looking now.  Also, I think this arc is unique in that it’s far more action and far less talking than normal.  With how Iggy gnawed off his leg the moment it risked his life, it does feel like an instinctual battle between fantasy animals.

Petshop surrounded Iggy in the worst possible situation by freezing his only way up and going through his only way down...

Way to go Iggy! I knew he'd kill that bird. That was a valiant effort and epic chapter. Best dog ever.

One of my favorite fights of this part though I preferred it in the anime for a few reasons, one of them being I immediately had a little issue following exactly what was happening (thankfully, I'd seen the anime so it wasn't much of a problem). The ending to the fight with Iggy using the water pressure to propel himself forward is still one of my favorite finishes.
