This novel started out "ok" though not nearly as good as the novel its trying to replicate. The story seems to wander around quite a bit as if the author wasn't 100% sure of how the novel was going to end when he wrote it. I'll add a second star for the translation, but thats it.There were brief moments when the relationship between the MC and a companion were quite amusing, but I found myself getting terribly bored throughout most of this.Spoiler
I stopped reading this after the recent release as it has horrific and detailed depictions of a young child being mercilessly r*ped to death after being strapped down to a table by her own guardians. While this horror is taking place, nearby is a pile of decomposing and ab*sed young bodies which suffered similar torment laying in a heap carelessly nearby it.
[collapse]I find excessive details of traumatizing & heinous events like this replusive. So I've dropped the series.
