I thought the beginning (pre-triple digit chapters) were good. The translation is not polished but the concept is neat and the story/humor is a bit dumb in a fun way. It's funny seeing the main character fanboy over his favorite hero even though he has to be her archnemisis. However, as the cast starts to grow it starts turning into a dull harem. There's no point in adding more characters if all of them only have the same single personality trait of just really liking MC. Not only that most of the side characters only get to play a non-essential roles, and rarely at that — they just don't exist in the story 95% of the time. There is a recurring theme where the point of every female character devolves from being a heinous villain or noble hero into a girl groveling for MC's attention. While not as blatant, it happens for for the main hero Stardust too, which is especially disappointing. The novel builds her up as this unmovable pillar of justice who would never bow down to evil, and yet she loses hope and despairs multiple times while yearning for MC to save her.The author spends way too many sentences explaining character thoughts and pretty much anything. This story is also victim to this weird self-sacrificial bullsh*t where the Main Character coughs up blood every time he uses his power to help people. It's really a shame. I like these silly comedy type stories.
