I think this chapter definitely signified to the audience that this part is written tongue in cheek more than anything before it. The Wheel of Fortune, the final stand sent from Enya, was a complete joke, even making Jotaro smile like a baby; something which felt weirdly wrong and adorable. Further, they Donavan’d him like Joseph did to the nazi chained to the cactus with a sign and all in Battle Tendency. It was certainly clear he was lame as all heck. And we even got a line about Jotaro getting a new uniform exactly like he’s always worn, a cheap in universe excuse for why he’d magically have his clothes back. Charming for sure.
It seems the girl was kicked out again which made for her joining for this single arc to feel somewhat insignificant. I imagine she will join the Justice arc as well, sneaking along with them as always. Polnareff, after more being incredibly rude to her; something I certainly love, drove into a deep fog. A dog was stabbed through a pike. The people are unfriendly and ominous. A man had cockroaches on his back and another had lizards in his frozen and shocked mouth.
If this is the work of a stand user, we ought to ask how Enya is doing this. She appeared to be in Dio’s vampiric mansion in Egypt. How could she reach them this quickly? Was she actually closer, or can her stand inhibit the ability to move quickly, place from place? This is also interesting because she doesn’t seem to have more minions to send unless she is bringing some with her, the 7 that attacked were the 7 announced earlier. After Enya goes down, is it just Dio who is left? That doesn’t seem likely with so many chapters left, but it does create an interesting change in what we expect.
