This has a good premise and even starts out quite swell, with a likeable FL- however, it slowly devolves when the main lead's love problems get solved and there's only drama left to explore. I really wish the author would stick to a smaller setting, but like many novelists, they decided up the stakes while not knowing how to properly develop these stakes at a good pace. Case in point, the male lead of the novel suddenly discovers the FL has super powers that was not alluded to at the beginning of the novel and does not need to be in the plot for it to work, it only serves to make the FL more Mary Sue. The FL also has to deal with a secret criminal organization with rose tattoos and expose them for the criminals they are, with her knowledge of "Gu medicine" and martial arts. At this point the FL is just a self insert, at least moreso than she was in the premise of the novel.

And- don't get me wrong, supernatural elements can make a novel stand out and make it even better, but that is only if you know how to naturally progress these powers and make it an essential to the plot- otherwise, what is the use of having it?

The uncontrollable large scale of the novel is not its only issue, the novelist also has troubles making characters that aren't one-dimensional. The main villainess is a completely dumb girl who is in love with the ML and has been trying to force herself onto the ML through an underhanded method. This villainess is also continuously trying to create misunderstandings for the ML and FL and trying to harm the FL. The novel has also introduced a white lotus figure and extremely devoted friend figures and devoted love interests. The characters will always fall into one extreme or another.

TLDR; the novelist continues to introduce extremities into her novel, whether it be through characters or the plot.

Well done author. Creative and culturally informative.  I, however, skipped some of the violent, abusive sections. It is sad and unfortunate that some women are experiencing these traumas even today
