I don't hate the story, but I can't say I like it. I endured to halfway but the story is very illogical sometimes. Also very cliche as well. The main character was fine in the beginning but gets unlikable slowly. She's not written realistically. She's a rich young lady who's only been outside once in her life but she can speak to people about business, knows how to manage businesses, cooks amazing food (as a rich young lady?? sure she was taught but how many times could she have practiced with her apparently weak body that required her to be inside for most of her life?). Also, the blatant misogyny is really annoying. There are at least one or two disparaging comments about women in every chapter. Not to mention that EVERY problem in the book is because of a woman. The sister, sister-in-law, aunty... etc. Also, I know the main character is supposed to be badass and different, but her attitude towards people just comes off as a know-it-all/arrogant. She seems to forget that her knowledge is not because of some innate uniqueness but just that she is a product of her times and the rest of the people are also products of the times they live in. This was a downgrade from BTTS. Again, mediocre at best.
