So a weird question.

I know that people complain about webnovel / Quidan.

But how do you all feel about the Flying Lines group as a whole. From what I ave seen their app is very close to webnovel's. They also wall off translations with a type of site currency.

From what I've seen on the forums people bash webnovel and such, but I wonder why Flying Lines doesn't get the same flak?

Does anyone know who owns Flying Lines. What am I missing?

Well. First of all. What happens when some wannabe posts ur stuff on webnovels. Will that belong to webnovels then too? And etc. Esp there is issue with copyrights and publisher stuff so not sure how its gonna be handled.

Also apparently anything posted on webnovels will belong to them. So ur basically selling ur soul. Rip to all original writers. Cuz so far ppl are oblivious to it from what i heard.

And considering all the loopholes that come with it... for example if someone were to post someone's else stuff on there without permission from the author.... it can turn out very ugly...

Qidian arrived by shitting on previous agreements with other translation sites, they got the rights to translate their novels back when qidian had no english market but once they arrived they were just expecting everyone to bow to the young masters, they stole translations from other sites instead of making their own and tried to take down those who refused to obey

So yeah, they are like the typical wuxia/xianxia petty villains

Creative Novels is pretty much the same. Difference is Qidian gives a tease then locks the rest permanently, while the others charge only to read ahead, similar to Patreon.

Basically, with Qidian, you only get the first 100 chapters for free, then it's a paywall. For the others, if you wait a little while, you will eventually be able to read the whole story for free.
