I really dislike her. She's such a hypocrite. The ml didn't harm her. It's her family who did. He cherished her. Even if he didn't favour her, she'd be an unflavoured concubine and could still live in the Palace well. It was better than living with her family. The ones she should hate was her family. She also raised her child by lying to him about how his father was. The child is so innocent that I fear if he found out what kind of person his father was, he'd have a trauma. ML might have been a tyrant but considering the Amy of ppl who wants to snatch away his throne, that's to be expected.If ML had behaved like a wise king in first life, he might have died earlier. The child is too naive to be an emperor. He wasn't raised and educated to be a king. I really want to see ml take revenge on her but the way it is going, he is all talk but no bite. I fear this Manga will end up like the normal trope of getting betrayed and finding out your wife was faking it all along yet stupidly enough ending up together. I wish the empress will get a taste of her own poison and ml would fall in love with someone more honest.

I find the kid annoying but very cute. I understand why he would feel that way. The kid is powerless so he could die easily or enemies would use him to threaten the king.

Even now, the kid practically tries hard to help his mum find lovers. I know he's young but he's a future king so he must have already been studying about politics by now. But, I can't see even the slightest hint that he would make a good king. His mum lies to him abt his dad and he believes it all (blame the mum here) but is it that hard for him to find out what type of person his father truly is?! Am sure the maids gossip at least.

But the problem when lying to your kid about his dad especially when said kid is a future king is that the kid lives in a protective bubble but sooner or later the bubble will burst and it will cause internal chaos inside the poor child. The child will be unable to trust his only support - his mum.

Although she can't tell the complete truth to the child, she could have tried to at least talk about it slowly but surely. Lying is only gonna cause future troubles. 

 

first of all, she did love him and wanted him to love her too but he never shows concern, has time pass by she lost hope until the emperor dies she currently lovesick read the most recent chapter you will understand right now there 47 chapters and she thinks that he came back but it getting funnier tho.

okay I wanted to clarify that he thought their kid has annoying and a nuisance she was scare so she hides him

Actually, she did what she have to do. She's an Empress Dowager who had to protect her little kid against many enemies.

In chapter 54 or 55(?), she explained that she never been intimate/consummate with other consorts (her reason was must be abstinent for 3 years after Emperor died)... and she only used the harem to build power and connections.  She also said that she acted as weak lotus flower before he died bc she knew he liked being dominant and see her act as delicate with tears. While now, she have to show her domineering side to be not underestimated. Even Commander Song stated before that many thought she's just a little kitty who can easily be controlled.

The ML stated that he liked her better now without tears (and start of SM scene with FL being dominant LMAO) ... Actually, I find the recent chapters became funnier now.

It still unclear if she truly loved him or her heart was already tired and hardened due to palace experience... but I think she liked him in some point and undoubtedly very loyal to him that's why she already noticed early Consort Jiang's similarities to previous Emperor. She even made their kid think that his Father was invincible, kind, powerful and truly loved her.

I think the real villain here is the former Emperor Father of ML bc there is a possibility that his soul will come back.
