MC rejects ML's offer of the 'special training'. More like he runs away xD Anyway, he goes and practices by himself, and when ML finds out, he's angry. ML goes and finds MC shooting at the basketball court. MC throws the ball but it ends up rebounding back and rolls towards ML, who picks it up. MC feels a burst of grievance and shame, so he just takes the ball off ML and walks away. ML didn't think that MC would be so decisive and just ignore him, so he calls out MC's name really loudly a few times. MC finally turns around, only to see ML curving his fingers on the top of his head in the shape of rabbit ears. ML says that he is the rabbit xiao Er and asks MC if he wants to talk to him. MC can't help but laugh because he is reminded of a memory from years ago.
MC has a flashback of the time when ML played the prince in the school play when they were younger. At that time, MC had the role of a rabbit. When he saw ML hugging the princess, he became jealous and ended up giving the cold shoulder to ML. This cold war went on for a week until ML could no longer stand it. One day on their way back home, ML curls his fingers and blinks his eyes at MC, mimicking the appearance of a rabbit. ML copies the first sentence that the little rabbit which MC plays says to the princess, which is "I am the rabbit xiao Er, do you want to talk to me?" In the end, MC's anger disappears completely > . <
ML ends up teaching MC how to play basketball properly and how to shoot. He demonstrates his skills to MC and vice versa. They play a practice game but ML keeps stealing the ball off MC. MC is really stubborn though and he refuses to give up.
MC: "Come again!"
ML: "Your ability to control the ball is poor and others will easily take it off you. I'll teach you how to shoot the ball, so turn around."
MC: *doesn't know why he listens, but he turns around with hsi back facing ML*
MC: "I'll shoot the ball."
ML: "Oh, are you sure you will?"
MC: *nods stubbornly*
MC: "Yes, I will. Shooting the basketball is so easy, how can I not get it in?"
ML: "Then what about this?"
MC suddenly freezes.
A warm chest leans against him, plastered to his back. ML holds the ball in one hand and grasps MC's hand with his other one. Because of their difference in height, it looks as if ML is hugging MC in his embrace. ML bows his head slightly, his breath blowing hotly by MC's ear as he says, "Xiao Er, I'll teach you...how to shoot."
MC's face blushes red like an apple.
After practicing his shooting skills with ML as his teacher, MC becomes a bit better. On their way back home, the scene that @purple_mangosteen mentioned before occurs. MC asks ML if he remembers the girl who acted as the princess, who is now in the class next to ML's. ML says he doesn't remember.
MC is stunned, "She is very beautiful, how can you not remember? Her name is Liu Xiaomeng."
ML doesn't really care and replies, "Why should I remember her?"
MC: "You used to be in many plays with her, and you even hugged her."
ML turns around to look at MC with a smile in his eyes, "I've hugged you before as well. Remembering you is enough, why should I remember her?"
MC's face flushes red again and he doesn't speak any further.

ML's grandmother asks MC to play with ML, so he visits him almost every day, and yet ML is always so cold to him. ML often leaves MC alone and plays some console game by himself. MC endures this tho, because at the end of the day ML's grandmother will always give him expensive and delicious sweets.
Even though ML's attitude can be described as indifferent to MC, but there are many little sweet things that ML actually did to MC. For example, at their first day entering elementary school, MC was terrified and actually cried when he entered their bus. He stood frozen, and bawling in front of the bus's door. ML saw this, and gently held MC's hand and led him to two vacant seats. After they sat down, MC was still crying, so ML took his hand again and said "Don't cry, I will always be here." (Yes, this is the scene mentioned on the summary).
