So saving her reminded him of the past.

Genuinely broke me.

The last panel reminds me of when the Skull Knight said to him: "Her wish may not be your wish" when talking about Casca regaining her memory. I wonder if she might never come back fully. Or, as Guts seems to maybe think, even if she comes back she might not be the same ever again. Like Guts says, in the end the bittersweet memories always come back to the eclipse. The quote at the end "[...] Even if you force back what was lost... ...It still won't be the way it was." beautifully expresses his misgivings about his hope for her return.

Berserk is truly one of a kind.

Awww poor Guts T_T if only Casca could remember something and at least say thank you then he'd be in a much better mental state.

so it looks like guts is able to control himself to some extent now when using the berserker armor... probably thanks to schierke's help as well.. really cool

If only I wasn't reading in public, I wouldn't have had to hold in my tears. The things Guts does just to keep Potato Casca safe... Those painful bittersweet memories flowing back in as he slowly sinks into the abyss just calls for the floodgates to open.

The salty sea breeze is already really painful for his wounds but he dived into actual seawater and nearly drowned because of his injuries and prosthetic hand. He could've catched her if only he still had his other arm but he forgot that his new one only knows how to destroy. It definitely left me empty inside.
