I've got to admit, I thought that Guts battle with Mozgus was very "shounen-esque" in how it went but was still surprised by how, immediately after the priest was defeated, the people on the ground were overwhelmed by all those demons. I found myself thinking, "oh, of course,  this is Berserk". Guts pretty much screwed over all those people just for Casca.

Now THAT was a dark back story, Serpico was forced to burn his own mother for god's sake! That was brutal e.e
