Interesting thought. You actually could be right, I guess we'll have to see. This shit was pretty crazy, though, I know for sure this went completely different in the TV series. There was no Skeleton Knight there and I always figured Rickert died during this.

I wasnt enjoying the golden age as much as black swordsman because in my opinion berserk is much better when dealing with dark fantasy instead of historical fiction. This chapter proved that, this was horrifying. I don't know what the eclipse will be but shit is about to go down big time.

SHIT that was horrifying. Moments like this are definitely when Berserk is at its best, IMO. I guess this is really it, because Griffith will have no Band of the Hawk to return to even if he does escape with the rescue group. How many people was that, anyway...?

If you've drawn this conclusion exclusively upon the Skull Knight stopping those demons and leaving Rickert alive, that's really grasping at straws IMO. That said, if it were the case that would be a brilliant twist.
