Amazing chapter! Mashiba finally let go of his demon. Ippo being Ippo and starting the exorcism chant was incredible.

The champion keeps fighting dirty, and Mashiba's devil keeps pushing him to be just as dirty. However, Mashiba is strong now and will win on his own.

Oh I loved this chapter. At long last Mashiba overcame his inner demon for good. He relapsed during the Sawamura match, kept struggling, but now he fully embraces all the people supporting him and that makes him stronger than ever. This may be his greatest victory.



Pay off moments for these hella long character arcs always hit different, especially when it's a favorite character you're invested in.

I really dig the point of this fight. Volg had to fight the concept of the world always being against him, Warlee had that alpha vs omega thing and now Mashiba is facing what he was/could still be with no people to support him or a proper reason to fight. I feel like this fight is close to the end too.

You know, it's funny, i used to hate Mashiba but now he's one of my favorite characters ever.

He doesn't need him anymore.
