Hajime no Ippo Chapter 1429 Discussion

Kumi has a new swimsuit and wants to show it off at the beach with Ippo, and he's very much down for it.



Also, we're 1429 chapters in, and we're finally seeing Mashiba's backstory, with a little bit of Kumi's. A little late, but I'll take it.



It was also nice to see that Mashiba is evolving as a fighter. He's coming up with his own counters for the title match.

The demon thing is a bit corny, but I'm very much interested in some Mashiba backstory.

But as a Mashiba fan, this backstory was great to see. It looks like Mashiba has a split personality. It's good to see that he's got a different mentality for this fight.

Mashiba had it tough as fuck to fight his inner demon with triggering assholes around him all while trying to provide for Kumi after the loss of their parents.
