Hajime no Ippo Chapter 1389 Discussion

Was surprised that there was no comments about this chapter yet.



The best part of this chapter for me was Ippo getting suckered into being Wally's Second for the match.



Beyond that, Wally sizing up Ricardo and saying that the match is going to be fun, was very memorable.



Next week is a break.

Let's be honest, the most exciting development right now is Ippo getting closer to returning to the rink. The upcomming matches is just a built up. I think Wally will put up a good fight, but Ricardo is Ippo's prey, I can't see him loosing to anyone else. However, Ippo being Wallys second might get him closer to pulling the trigger to finally return. Maybe something will happen that will lead to Ippo accepting that he can cross the infamous line Takamura once drew. I mean... Ippo is strong NOW in retirement with just some moderate training going on. Imagine him fully trained up and mind unleached? Dude's gonna be a monster...



I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Volg. He can do it. After facing Ippo in that "spar" his actual opponent can't be scarier. XD I think he'll win and then Wally will bring Ricardo close to a fall, but not quite. That's my guess.

I relaly liked the boxers interactions with each other in the past chapters. Sendo is always a treat, he's my MVP anyways, but Volg was pretty awesome these past couple of chapters as well. He'll show us a great fight. Very happy seeing him in action once again.

Ippo being Wally's 2nd in a world title match? getting such experience's the best situation Ippo could be in atm. Semifinal begins, lets go Volg!

Makanouchi will be an assistent in Wally combat, he will be a second, great notice!!!
