xxxHOLiC Chapter 211 Discussion

I guess reading into it would make sense since this is xxxholic,, but i am starting to feel like there isn't a message for the plot in things anymore. It would feel like a waste of time if it didn't take more than 3 minutes.

Rainy day after a long time of no rain.  Meeting a woman at the garden.  She really came later as Watanuki has predicted for a wish.  She's crying.



She asked who Watanuki is and what the shop is for.  She is crying because the person she's been waiting didn't come, even though he promised that as long as she's in the umbrella.



There must be something preventing him to come because he never break promise.  The umbrella is to not care about people looking at her.



There's a seal on the umbrella, snake's eye.  Putting that, she doesn't have to care about ayakashi looking at her.  Snake's eye is open, so it's looking and others cannot look.  So it's useless to put it on outside of the umbrella.  He helped her put the seal inside the umbrella.  Then that person, her husband, is here.  Then she dropped the umbrella and gone, thanking Watanuki.  Her umbrella is the price.



After the explanation to Doumeki, he said that the seal is easy to put on wrong place.  not "keep watch".



They've been wanting to meet each other, but with that seal put on wrong place...  Doumeki commenting that they are a relationship that cannot meet up when others are watching.

Even though now the xxxHolic chapters are about Watanuki granting wishes I have a feeling there are a lot of messages and hints about Watanuki and Doumeki relationship. Last chapter was about protecting a family and this chapter is about a relationship that the couple can't be seen in the public.

Hmm another pointless chapter plot-wise.

If not for the fact that it's not August, I would have thought this was some sort of Tanabata story, if you consider the woman as Orihime.



I'm somewhat surprised how shallow this chapter felt, considering xxxHolic is now a monthly release.

well i was also thinking that but at this point who cares, the only plot left is to retrieve her or at least find out the real reason for this whole situation. that would pretty much end it.

xxxHOLiC used to have a plot.  I don't see where this is going anymore.  It was a sweet story, but surely this manga is not only going to be about Watanuki granting wishes.  At least, I hope not.

Well... indeed... Family... Lovers and a relationship that shouldn't be seen in public... If you think about it in that way then it could be that CLAMP are hitting toward DouWata but considering that Doumeki might end up with Kohane-chan.... Well... Dunno... but it's interesting to see all this stuff about Japanese mythology...



Still the woman was really pretty... and it was such a shame to see her cry so heartfelt... That really moved me.. and made me wonder what made her cry so hard... but it's good to know what did so... and also it was interesting to see that her wish granted... she met again with her beloved man... btw the man looked like a bishie! xD... SO that means that Wata can grant any wish by now? will he able to take back Yuuko someday?



Me wonders when will this series end...
