xxxHOLiC Chapter 185 Discussion

Amazing chapter... I took Yuuko's death pretty hard, but this chapter totally makes up for it. I could see it coming a mile away, but the way it was executed was brilliant. The last scene with Watanuki smoking the ol' opium pipe kinda made me tear up a bit... I can't wait to see how Watanuki will take up the job.



Can't contribute to the Tsubasa discussion because, well, I don't read Tsubasa. Beautiful chapter, nonetheless. Time to get the story rolling again!

that will be TOO damn sad if that's the case..I really hope not.....I bet Doumkei's egg will be key to breaking the infinite loop in TRC

if they wanted to work i think they could, because in Tsubasa changes in the present can effect the past so the past can be changed to.....



i think we should not make too many judgments on stuff atm, like who is who, or trying to guess the thing that is about to happen, who cares ; lets just wait till chapter come and see what story they want us too see.What, but that's the whole point of discussion. Just because we don't know what will happen or what is what - doesn't restrict us from making theories of our own or challenging others XD that beats the whole purpose of discussion



As for confuser987's theory - it's an interesting one, and it could be plausible...if CLAMP really forces it. Even if the time factor is applied - the fact is that they look nothing alike personalities are not alike either. I truly see Fei Wong and Yuuko as seperate characters from Sakura and Syaoran.

between last chapter and this chapter, i pretty much conclude that the egg is to erase watanuki's memories, potentially the entire world's memories, of yuuko. that way watanuki could live his life as a healthy, normal boy, which is what i'm sure yuuko wanted, and that choice she gave to doumeki. it seems like he's hesitant about doing this, because watanuki's so adamant about succeeding the shop, but..i have a feeling the egg might be used. just to end the story for good.

I wonder if Watanuki starts to drink now :D Of course as much as Yuuko was drinking.

Yeah we really don't want Watanuki to be FWR, because he was so cool and such a good character in Holic, and if its true and if we compare it to the future him in Tubasa we feel, well i would feel sad, that he would turn out that way, if that's the case i hope he just inherits the shop and not try anything rash to resurrect her, instead just wait for a her to reincarnate some ages later, and then they meet again.
