xxxHOLiC Chapter 166 Discussion

  • #2
It wasn't so much Watanuki's choice not to go home and talk to Yuuko about it, though.  It was Mokona who encouraged Watanuki to go to Doumeki's.  Looks like Mokona is trying to reinforce that Watanuki has lots of people in his life that he can rely on.

Interesting that she doesn't put anything of herself into the food she makes though... what's up with that?  Looking forward to see where this is going :)

The body remembers even when the heart forgets seems to be a reoccurring theme in Holic & TRC...

So yet again we hear the 'body remembers' speech from CLAMP... :)

That woman is weird. I wonder why she's not making her food with any "feelings". Also, what did Mokona mean at the end? Something like, Watanuki needs to learn how to solve problems on his own now, because Yuuko will not be there all the time?

I hope not. But, yeah, Yuuko has the highest chance of getting killed by the end, in both holic and tsubasa.

But Watanuki is just too cute!! If I were Doumeki I'd rape him then and there. I mean, it's not like he isn't acting like his wife already, cooking his every meal, and roaming around his house as he wish.

I kinda wish they would just get to the freaking point, all this cooking crap is boring me to tears.

THIS IS AN MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER.

                ----------------------------------------

I really liked this chapter since it shed some light on the significance of the whole food thing. Hopefully the cooking lessons will wrap up soon and we'll get to learn more about Watanuki's past.

...and Doumeki was adorable as always! :D

They act like a married couple, argueing then making up. They really love each other.

Anyway. That speech about 'the body remembering' again. I want to know what the deal is with that and what Mokona said. I don't want Yuuko to dissapear/die. She's my favorite character ever. Don't you dare CLAMP >:[

So this might be Watanuki's first attempt to solve a problem without Yuuko's help? Most interesting that woman, not having any kind of personality... Is another ghost again?

I think this chappi was reeally good... How can't all the 'I cannot eat my own hand made food' affair cool! Haven't you thought about that for yourselves? Of course I haven't... I fact I can't just live without my own food... I love my spice and seasonings and such things.... Now obviously hitzusen has something to do with all this... I dunno what the hell is up with Watanuki's past, or who is his father or mother, but really I think that CLAMP will still leave us in the cliffhanger for a loooong time... Which is good for me 'cause I know they're really considering an excellent ending...

If Yuko or Watanuki die, I will be so, so sad. :(

I think I might seriously cry.

Me too. I used to hate Watanuki but I really like him now and I'm a huge Yuuko fan. but I think it's very likely that one of them will die (it will probably be Yuuko)
