It's hilarious how a lot of people are saying "Kenpachi isn't badass anymore". If you look at this fight compared to his fight with Ichigo, he wasn't releasing his spiritual pressure. Also, this fight specifically doesn't allow Kenpachi to stand out either. This quincy is similar to Crona(Soul Eather) in that his blood/nerves are a weapon. The more a melee fighter attacks (Maaka/Kenpachi), the higher the disadvantage.



I agree that this chapter makes Kurotsuchi look badass. The world of bleach has so many variations in its fighters but it's still a rock-paper-scissors like world. This is a perfect example of "someone kenpachi cannot beat yet Kurotsuchi will always beat."

That quincy guy is definitely not dead.Funny to see kenpachi take a secondary role in fight.Guess that really shows the power difference between the normal sternritters and the elites.



P.S Mayuri is the most badass captain aside from shunsui.
