Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Oh god, that cracked me up. There were a lot of complains about what happend to Nel and we went through hundreds of chpaters of never knowing the answer. And just when she started to be forgotten, she came out of the blue... literally.

I love where this is going.

Where the hall have you been ? We knew that Halbel, Nel and Grimjow are alive for more than a year now.

Grimjow's fate was left ambiguous, but there was Unohana around at the time, so I don't think he's still alive. Halibel however was left for dead in fake Karakura, unless that injury made by Aizen wasn't lethal, in which case, knowing Kubo, it could actually be right.

We KNOW that Unohana healed grimjow and Halibel(who was hit non-fatally by Aizen, just like the rest of them). We know Halibel has been left in charge of Hueco Mundo by SS as the strongest surviving arrancar as to not bring dis-balance into the whole pluses versus minuses thing and keep minuses in check from overflowing real world.

Well, you know because all that stuff didn't happen in the manga but in the additional material that I didn't read. Though it's not clear how Halibel survived the injury or why Unohana healed Grimjow.

I rarely agree with you but I must agree with this point.

We shouldn't have to read/listen interviews to know/understand some keyfactor to the story. A good story shouldn't be this ambiguous.

Other than that I'm pleased with this chapter.

My dick can't handle this arc

LMAO, exactly my thoughts after reading this chapter.

So many things happened in this chapter. Kubo better get this arc right and make Bleach end SO good. :)

But yeah, GRIMMJOW better come back. :DD

I'm wondering if this death counts since the guy was only seen 1- 3 times in the entire series. Gotta feel bad for him being killed off like that.

But I'm not really sure about anything anymore... no longer sure what this guy is, what he wants, where he is, how he promotes people to his "guard"... is this really "the thing" that Urahara defended?

The word used in japanese for Soul King was not just for inanimate objects but for, literally monsters. This guy does qualify as quite a monster.

Just saying that I don't think he's a "king" in the traditional meaning of the word.

If Urahara protects him, it's not because the Spirit King is doing good, it's because the existence of him and his world is essential for the current mapping of the Bleach Universe.

Crazy theory incoming:

If this arc is as huge as some people have guessed (8-10 years) then every question mark in the Bleach Universe has a chance of getting an explanation.

They might go so far as explain where the Soul King came from, how the 13 divisions were founded, maybe even what existed before humans and hollows came into the picture.

He doesn't look like a "king", not the kind of king that acts like a servant of the people at least, it doesn't even look like he has any type of control of things... which makes me suspect that maybe he WAS a king once, but now he's only a king in name. There might be a group of fighters we haven't seen yet... the true royal guard. And their job might not be to protect the Spirit King, instead, it might be to protect the world from the Spirit King and keep him locked away in his prison.

Crazier theory incoming:

Soul Society and the Hollow world might have been split up just to shove the Spirit King inbetween. And now the Spirit king is trying to fuse his worlds back together so he can be freed.

I'm… I don't even know what to say about Harribel. It's not that she turned out alive, that was made clear (even if it was side-material, which is almost cheating), it's that… Seriously? You took the strongest female villain/antagonist, had her get off-sceened (brutally, if her armor is any indication) and made a captive? Aside from this scenario being uncomfortably reminiscent of sex slavery (she is chained up, scantily clad, and apparently being used for the creation of more of her species, there is no way that this isn't suspect), just… wow. Just, WOW.
