Mahou Sensei Negima! Chapter 317 Discussion

As far as I know, Negima is 3/4th through right now. So there's still some time left before the ending. And I don't think someone like Akamatsu would rush the ending, I mean, he did a perfect ending with Love Hina too!

Even if Negi can summon their pactio card, I don't think Fate will let him give them back to their original user because in his current mindset, Fate think he is stronger than Negi.

And anyway, the thing is that taking their pactio card would give him less trouble, even if they get it back latter and it's free so why not do it? It would be stupid to let them have their pactio card only for themselve trying to find a way out when he was waiting Negi.



And we all knows that Negi will fight alone, Fate having their pactio card is convenient for him as he doesn't have to worry about Nodoka or Natsumi butting in trying to be a hero because this will be a dangerous fight.



Also what would make less sense is Natsumi and Nodoka making a pactio with Fate, as far as I heard you cannot force a pactio



The fights Negi and Fate were partaking in were happening simultaneously, all Fate seemed to want to do is check out what artefact they had. There was basically no time in between the end of Negi's fight and the end of Fate's fight. It still doesn't change the fact that Negi can summon the artefacts, hell he can summon the minstrae at this point due to being close enough. Akamatsu is probably in battle mode though, so the vast abilities of a system he created seem to have been forgotten.



Pactios can be forced. The pactio formed between Negi and Theodora (chapter 239) was a forced pactio. My theory that it might have been a forced pactio was based upon this, plus the fact that Nodoka was blushing for no reason in the panel prior to Fate showing he had the pactio cards.



I still want to know who this is that saved Fate from being killed, he is clearly being lifted up in this frame by someone to let him catch the magic attack:

For me, best part of the entire chapter was the sympathetic smirk Nodoka gave to Fate after being slaped. That really got on his nerves XD

The chapter moslty enhances the envirnmoent for the Negi-Fate battle, and shows why does Fate hate Nodoka soo much.



BTW, I really wonder why the heck do you all consider that for something to be good, there has to be a character dying. It's like those Touhou fanfictions where they kill Yukari just to try and make the reader think "OMG! THIS IS FUCKING SERIOUS!!" (almost quoting Kimiko Muffin).



Every true touhou fan know that Yukari dying is a lie.

Would be epic chapter if Fate killed her.

Time for the showdown at last. Looks like he will finally save the world when the storm is at the brink of finishing everyone off.

Then again he will bring them back, but.

Never mind about the part with the pactio, I forgot that Fate did made a pactio with the girls thatt follow him and since Mal's lag make edit almost impossible in the hour the message has been posted I don'T feeling like trying to do so.

i thought he was going to petrify her....that would have sucked.

My prediction is their fight become some sort of team battle, since Setsuna and Mana are still fighting, then  the vortex really goes haywire bringing a final final boss or something which have their fight postponed, then when everything is over, they finally finish their fight. That's if Akamatsu goes through such a overdone route.
