Great Chapter, their sneak plan worked quite well. First Chachamaru, then Kotarou, and then the rest of the gang. It's good to know that even the weaker members of Ala Alba can hold up against one of the magic world's strongest enemies. Yue and Bea were good enough to defend against the Fate's main attack, Bea is out though. Yuuna's skills with guns really show here, immediate headshot and shoot down of most of the petrification needles. Sayo and Yunna hit though. Plan was a success with the recovery of both Asuna and the Great Grand Master Key. If that key has as much godly power as it has been described, then it seems the next battle will be Fate vs. Nodoka. Who saw this coming? I bet Nodoka can do it. Save the Magic World! Ala Alba!

Aren't all the girls just going to hide in the cloak? That was the impression i got; they would escape while Kotarou distracts. I guess this halts the ritual for a while now.

Wonder what Fate will do in response.

Well yeah, basically if the great grand master key is fuelled somehow by Asuna's power then it might be totally possible for Ala alba to defeat Fate.

I don't think Nodoka can pull this off alone tough.

Also there's a certain someone that hasn't shown up yet, I could actually see he/her saving Fate at the last second.

is pretty easy: the number of artifacts are not infinite.

We knew that already thanks to Yue's artifact, but that still doesn't explain how the villains know every single damned artifact. Why the hell did Takane know and not Negi perchance about Yuna's weapon? It's like Negi, who studied like crazy since 6 years old, knows shit about magic and weapons lore.

The real question is this: have Setsuna and Tsukuyomi really been fighting for OVER AN HOUR now?

The same applies to Mana and Zazie's sister's fight.

Oww, not Sayo :(

Nice ambush, Fate didn't see it coming.  I liked when Fate said that the artifact that Natsumi has hasn't showed up for 280 years, she is definitely starting to stand out, rather than just being a side character like she always believed ;)

Great chapter. Really nervous about the next chapter, as I often get when someone wants to target Nodoka.

This can be answered quite easely tough.

Negi had a good life in the human world, he studied to become a respectable mage who can be of use to people, he did not studied the strongest spell or artefact, I dare to say he did not studied anything linked to pactio at all.

While in the magical world, there was a big war not too long ago, magical fighting is like a sport and fighter takes prides in fighting and being the strongest.

Obviously about any decizen of the magical world probably knows more artefact than Negi since fighting is an everyday things here.

Nodoka got the great grand master key, now if she understand how to use it correctly she probably will be able to summon someone like let's say Rakan.

18 pages of such fast passed action that it ended in the blink of an eye XD

In few words, Fate got OWNED by the ambush strategy, although it did not end without a few casualties. Particulary interesting how Fate focused on taking down Nodoka, very smart move since the girl is the one who can figure out how the key works, or is probably just payback for revealing to the world his hated true name: Tertium.

"Mr. Tertium, now that I'm holding the Grand Master Key in my hands, please don't think in a way I could I use it to ruin all your plans"

This is a good explanation, but I remember Negi being an antique items collector in the first chapters. I wonder if he could really not know of the rarest, most ancient artifacts there are.

Well these are different in my opinion.

No need to say that Negi's knowledge of the magical world was almost zero before actually going there and in the real world it is pretty much impossible to get good information about it let alone an encyclopedia about every artefact existing there lol.

Great chapter. I was surprised that Ala Alba coped so well against Fate. I was expecting that Fate would own them, but the group did well. It doesn't look that Fate has a grudge against Nodoka like Yuuna said, to me he looks like he's just afraid of her artifact, even Dynamis wished for her death.

Now I have a question: How can Sayo be petriefied if she's a ghost, just a soul? I thought that she will get out after the doll was petriefied and return to Mahora Academy knowing that she died there.
