You didn't find it odd that when Asuna rejoined everyone, she made no mention of being attacked by those two girls? She only mentioned taking care of the black pillars, which was the last thing any of the group witnessed her doing. Also, she did seem extra stupid when she tore out a page of the petrified book, and she was off-page for quite a while.

Of course you notice that Rakan isn't telling the whole story, don't you? He's keeping most of the events a secret from Nagi's group, who should go buy a history book instead of asking Rakan for information.



Edit: By the way, the scans suck... although I shouldn't be complaining.

I have heard MULTIPLE therories that she is...it seems possible, you saw that panel after the "boss" fight where negi stuck his tongue at her in a flirtatious way...and then all the girls in negi's groups asking Rakan whether they were together (hint hint). AND also, a few chapters back, the last panel was of asuna, negi and arika, and negi is wondering whether that woman is...(his mother). Although, since she is a princess of the vesperatia (however you spell it) family, wouldn't that mean she is related to asuna?

And so...wouldn't negi and asuna be related then, if arika is negi's mom?



anyways,

three things about this chapter:

1. That was a LAME way to end a battle with a boss. I mean, there was all this build up to the "leader of the enemy" that even Rakan said was difficult to beat, and then nagi goes and PUNCHES THE EVIL GUY'S HEAD OFF. I mean, couldn't there be a cooler, flashier way to end that?

2. WHY WASN"T ASUNA MENTIONED IN THE FLASHBACK?????!!!! i thought for sure that there would be a scene where nagi went and rescued the "twilight imperial princess" and then everybody in negi's group would realize that asuna was the twilight imperial princess!

3. It appears that the theory of the asuna of late being a fake asuna is true...although i don't really understand how she can be held captive by magic, since she has the magic cancel ability.



Can't wait for next week's chapter!
