I watched the anime first, so the story, for me, was interesting from the beginning. I am really enjoying the manga. The differences, though slight, are fascinating. The only thing that I find irritating are readablescans inaccurate translations of Japanese words to their Romanji equivalents; i.e., they translated "yokai" as "ayashi". I don't read or speak Japanese, but I can't find "ayashi" anywhere. There's, "ayashii", which means secretive or mysterious, but "ayakashi" would make better sense; although, it refers to "yokai" that appear over water. That doesn't fit here. Yokai, or bakemono, would be better. I may be overly strict, but mistakes like that are irritating. Anyway, I love this manga. I, highly, recommend it.
