                        The age differences between gender is a bit weirdly convenient, like it was designed just to make the Voodoo Child curse connection less apparent, but beyond that little nitpick, I quite like the reveal of the Voodoo Child and Ban's backstory with Yamato. It fits all the pieces we've got so far, sets up strong dramatic stakes for this arc, and it both allows us to understand the burden of Ban's guilt there but also absolving him for the viewer since he clearly didn't understand the circumstances.
