GetBackers Chapter 17 Discussion

                        The scene with Ginji and Ban in the taxi was great, as was how dramatic getting a taxi was from them. I really liked the "The 's' in Getbackers means you're not alone anymore", and the whole banter where Ban said he'd force Ginji to help (it's a lot more playful in context). The highlight being Ginji stopping him from revealing the whole past, it fits matches Ginji's personality to a tee considering his reaction to being called the Lightning Lord too, so he understands why Ban wouldn't want to go into his past. I also liked that Ban broached the subject and was willing to tell, these two really do feel like the best of bros.



The rest of the chapter was okay to bad though. Them getting screwed because of Ban's change to the payment was expected, even if I didn't know it was coming, but it doesn't really do much for me. The set-up to the next arc was pretty bad, overtly evil thugs who even state they're evil people doing evil to a blind girl while also exposition-ing her character.
