                        There's obviously a part of me that think Ban used the Jagan to give them the illusion of him getting his eyes slashed, but if they truly are taking it away from him at the moment, that definitely follows suit with Ginji's plot thread of losing his powers. A pretty interesting way to create drama in a story is by taking away the tools our heroes have grown accustomed to relying on, and the Jagan has always been the GetBackers ace in the sleeve, so losing it does the most story more interesting, and fits thematically in with Ginji's story and the Teshimine flashback.
