GetBackers Chapter 112 Discussion

                        And thus ends the Lost Arms of the Goddess arc. First on this chapter, this was a great resolution, the drugpin got exactly what was coming to him (and Yabukita showed up again, I didn't think I'd see him or Mr. No Brakes again but what do you know), and I rather liked tha Yukihiko/Ginji conversation. Ban's shady backstory has been probably the longest story thread in the series, and definitely the most mysterious I'm still looking forward to that getting explored. And the ending was perfect, I really love tying Kaito's drawing to the Venus arm's, beauty attained through loss and imagined beauty both from the Venus and the Kaito's Goddess painting is a pretty fitting conclusion.



In a lot of ways, I feel like this was the strongest GetBackers arc so far, I might still prefer the Sound of Life one and Infinity Fortress has its benefits, but this definitely had the best action since the Ginji/Miroku fight was actually good all throughout and not just for cool moments. And since the girl was never explained, my theory was that she was somehow tied to Clayman but that felt completely wrong like a chapter or two later. It's interesting that we didn't get her deal, her candy's effects are pretty interesting, I'm sure it'll come up later.
