Hikaru no Go Chapter 116 Discussion

Holy shit, Sai won. I was hoping he would win, but you never know. Crazy that Meijin didn't try to play up until the very end, but he saw the outcome no matter what, even if all the others watching couldn't. What's crazier tho is that Hikaru saw a moment where Meijin could have played a move differently and would have won. Sai is impressed by Hikaru and even says the Go gods made Sai wait a millennium to come back so that Hikaru could witness this game. Hikaru's abilities have gotten insanely good in just two years.

once again, buildup before the game became a point at the end of this arc, hikaru wasn't just an observer but one of the game player, and so he suppressed the players mind.
