Hikaru no Go Chapter 61 Discussion

                        Old man Honinbo has Hikaru in his sights, I wonder if it's because he felt Sai's presence or Hikaru's talent?

The old man Kuwabara felt "something" as he passed by Hikaru. He must of felt Sai's spirit. He even goes on to say that Hikaru is someone to remember. Ogata meets up with him before their match and he speaks about a new wave of players entering the world of Go. Then he says he wants to greet them as a titleholder, so he's going after Kuwabara with fangs bared.

Akira won the young lions tournament and he was promoted a rank. And now we got some new character at the end who plans to take the pro test. I wonder what role he'll have in the story.

except the fact that ogata starting to be little more than observer but active character, there isn't much to say here. hikaru and akira have their own path to grow and such...
