Akira gets marked down with a loss for a no show, but he's too invested in figuring out who he's facing to probably care. Sai and Akira battle it out, but Akira realizes he's lost and resigns the match. Hikaru asks Sai if it indeed was Akira Toya they were playing and Sai confirms it. Hikaru is curious if Akira has grown stronger, but Sai realizes that it is himself who is the one that's grown stronger as a player. Which makes sense since he's adapting to the modern era of play while retaining all of the knowledge and skill learned throughout the history of Go.
