I really like Mello's character better than Near. Near seems too much like L.

though i never liked the mafia arc in the manga...

I liked how the reintroduced Sayu-chan after the time skip.  I really want to see what happens with Raito if his sister gets taken.  I also like how the lead female kidnapper was eating a chocolate bar.  The mangaka seem to like the goth female archetype.  We have both Misamisa and the new kidnapper.  Maybe they shop in the same stores at the mall.
