Rurouni Kenshin Chapter 211 Discussion

Okay, I'll admit I fell for it.  I knew I shouldn't have, but considering the Reflections OVA I thought it was possible that this too would be unfathomably tragic.  Considering I've been endeared to Kaoru for 17 years of my life, I was borderline mind broken just seeing that image of her impaled.  While I'm relieved for what it's worth, I'll admit that it's a missed opportunity to make this leave a more profound impact about the will to live.

Unfortunately long ago I was spoiled that she didn't die there, so I figured out what was going on

                        oh awesome Kauro is still alive!! I was so fooled also but Aoshi is such a smart and cool dude..

I saw this coming since Gein was still relevant when Enishi went to Kaoru plus this is typical shounen so no deaths :)

I'm disappointed. It's not that I've wanted Kaoru to die, but a few chapters ago I was impressed that the author was brave enough to kill off the main character. But in the end it's just a typical shounen where people die only in flashbacks.
