It's almost laughable how much of a failure her character is!
Despite her introduction as a swordmansship instructor and "strong" girl, she was almost immediately reduced to Kenshin's constant damsel in distress and personal cheerleader.
To make things even worse, she is not just called Kenshin's weak point; she even fails at cheering him on (pretty much the only thing she's been any good at for during the last 200 chapters).
She'll most likely be a threat for Kenshin's victory since she refuses to go inside, is already unable to defend herself and can't even provide any emotional support for Kenshin... Wow what a complete waste
