Damn his awesome sword really broke, now hes gonna have a really hard time against Retsudo himself

Itto's fight against the kusa continues as he battles the rest of them and this time they aren't carrying explosives since they've run out, but Itto still must face a hoard of ninjas. This time the kusa have a slightly different goal in mind. They're using iron bounded scabbards to fight against Itto's sword so that they can put stress into the blade and cause it to break. Apparently the sword polisher from a couple chapters back sabotaged Itto's blade. He most likely put a stress point in the blade so that it'll cause a fracture after repeated blows and eventually break. Itto's sword is thick and strong, which has aided him in his fight this whole manga, but now it's broken. Itto was shocked to see his sword break, which must have hurt him since that sword is his soul.

Itto was also hurt during this fight. He got a pretty nasty cut on his right clavicle and chest area. Diagoro, being the good son that he is, is concerned for his father and is trying to clean his wound and stop the bleeding. Itto is just sitting there with his eyes closed not moving and Diagoro is trying to get his attention since he's worried about his father. What a great kid. Can't say it enough.

The Grass are all dead. Retsudo is the only Yagyu left. All is set for the final battle.
