This chapter made me feel happy and sad for Diagoro. He might be a samurai's child and even lives in meifumado with his father, but at the end of the day, he's still a 3 year old boy. He's going to have moments where he wants to play and be a normal child. In the rare moments like this where he's able to be around other children, you can see how happy he is to have their company and tries to soak it all in before going back to the life of meifumado.
The biggest surprise of this chapter was seeing Itto joining in with the others. The other men where getting him to loosen up and even smile as they all sat together around the fire. It was nice to see Itto smile like that. Such a rare sight.
This chapter also felt like the calm before the storm. That last chance to enjoy life before having a fight to the death against Retsudō.
